Choosing the right mountain bike tyres comes down to where you ride, the conditions you ride in, and how you want your bike to perform.

Riding Style

Start by thinking about how you ride. XC riders generally benefit from lightweight, fast-rolling tyres, while trail and enduro riders often need a balance of grip, durability and rolling speed. Downhill and bike park riders typically prioritise maximum traction and casing protection.

Terrain & Conditions

Consider the trails you ride most. Hardpack, loose dirt, rocks, roots and wet conditions all favour different tread patterns and rubber compounds. If you regularly ride a mix of terrain, an all-round trail tyre can be a versatile choice.

Front & Rear Tyres
