Bikelab will be conducting fortnightly rides, departing Just Ride at 5:30am and commencing on Thursday Dec 13, 2018. The rides will alternate between climbing terrain and flat to undulating course. The first ride on Thursday Dec 13, will be a climbing ride. Each ride will be ridden partly at tempo (easy to steady pace of 28-30 km h) in each of the transitional sections, pre and post the “structured” part of the ride. So, in each ride there will be a structured component with multiple efforts (intervals) to me made, with recovery segments in between. These efforts will range in both length and intensity, depending on the objective for the day. A pre-ride brief will explain the session for each ride. The objective is to pack some real quality into the 90 minute session and for each rider to take away a little bit of knowledge about how to apply certain training methods and hopefully apply a few new things to their own riding. The cool down part of the ride will provide opportunities for riders to ask a few questions before the ride finishes up.

Itching for a ride after all this rain? Lock it in for the 21st! *IMPORTANT* Lights will be required from this week onwards, it's getting daaaark! Come see us if you need some, we should have a good range in store this week. The aim? (Hint, it’s in the name 😜) - 30km distance in Nerang State Forest, no trails off limits! Who is this ride for? - Intermediate/experienced riders, riders looking to develop their stamina and fitness on a longer ride. Whilst we want to keep this social, this won’t be a “no drop ride”. We want everyone to feel challenged and to have fun, and if you can only make 15km one week, we hope you’ll come back next time and aim to come further! Look forward to seeing you for #30onthurs 🤙🏼

NEW LOOP EVERY WEEK! LIGHTS ARE MANDATORY ON WINTER MONTHS! NO LIGHTS NO RIDE... WE DON'T HAVE MUCH DAY LIGHT DURING WINTER. It's a Casual no drop ride... but we recomend Intermediate to advanced riders. The loop is between 12-17km average pace 11-13km/h. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToRVAljIE_k We are looking to change the loop a bit and start riding something different every Tuesday, looks like a lot of you are getting a bit tired of the old 12KM loop, so if you like to change things a bit, come and join us, it might be a longer loop, so make sure you and your legs are ok to keep up with it. We love to see you there. Leaving the shop the normal 4:30pm back around 6:15-30.
